ABOUT THE STUDIO
Two halves
of the same idea.
Brand identity · Illustration · Surface pattern · Packaging
· Wearable art · Custom creations · Licensing options
Anchors & Lipsticks is a one-person design studio run by Amethyst — a designer, illustrator and creative from Mascot, NSW, Australia.
The name is the brief. Anchors are the things that hold a brand steady — clear thinking, consistent systems, design that actually works. Lipsticks are the bits that make it unforgettable — colour, character, the willingness to be a bit much. Most studios pick one. I do both, because most brands need both.
Everything is shaped by my unique view of the world, which means: deep focus, pattern-spotting for days, plain language over jargon, and structure that protects the work instead of strangling it.
The ways we can work together.
Pick the shape that fits your project. Pricing is upfront — no awkward "request a quote" runaround.
How a project actually goes
No mystery, no guessing. Here's the shape of it from "hello" to "thank god that's done".
01
You enquire — Fill out the form.
A few simple questions —
nothing scary, no budget gatekeeping in disguise.
03
I design — You get progress at fixed milestones — not constant pings. Feedback windows are clearly marked.
02
We talk — A 30-minute chat.
Either in-person or on-line.
I confirm the fit, scope and timeline in writing.
04
You launch — Final files, a tidy handover doc, and a 30-day window for small tweaks. Then you go shine.
WHAT I'M ABOUT
Inclusive isn't a marketing word.
Plenty of studios put a rainbow flag in their footer once a year. This one is actually run by a queer, neurodivergent person, and that shapes everything — from how I write contracts to how I run meetings.
1.
LGBTQIA+ friendly, full stop. Pronouns are normal. Your relationship, name, identity — none of it is a debate here.
2.
Neurodivergent by design. A sync-first, clear timelines, no surprise scope creep, written follow-ups for every call.
3.
Plain English. No "alchemy" or "unlocking".
Just good design, explained clearly.
4.
Honest pricing. Quotes are quotes. Anything extra is itemised and approved before I touch it.
5.
Sensory-aware. Need a low-stim Loom instead of a Zoom call? Easy. Need everything in writing? Even easier.
"I work in colour, character and a bit of mess. If you want clean corporate sans-serifs and beige, I'm probably not your designer — and that's a kindness to both of us."
— Amethyst, founder
